Financial Commentary

YE23 was adversely affected by industry situations, including reduced trade in China caused by Covid-19 lockdowns; and rail strikes that had a knock-on effect on ship freight, which was in turn troubled by port strikes. In the same year, the business replaced many of its fleet vehicles, increasing its capital expenditure. These events are not anticipated to cause a long-term effect on the company in the coming years as the business has processes in place to mitigate similar issues.
