THE BUSINESS – The pub itself is run on a very low-key basis, to suit the owners personal lifestyle, with limited evening openings from October 1st to April 30th. Summer season has short evening openings weekdays and weekend openings from noon to close. Pub takings are circa £150,000 per annum (net of VAT). This leaves a huge opportunity for energetic and ambitious new owners to raise the profile of the pub, offer more food and take fuller advantage of the monopoly the pub has in the village. The pub has no permanent full-time staff on the books. The caravan park is licensed for 42 pitches.
